The genuine Portuguese cork handle will resist heat and still provide better comfort and sensitivity. Of course, the touch system allows you direct contact with the rod blank, and gives you even more advantage when detecting the light bite.

Having a lot of pain I was concerned about the weight but the 11' Sam's super sensitive jig pole was light enough for many hours of fishing. This has now become my favorite rod to use for crappie and I have already landed over 40 fish with it. Thanks for making a great product and a very good price! Shipping was prompt and it was packaged well.
The only thing I will do is have made a rod sock with two segments like my fly rods have and make a PVC tube for storage. The rod sock that comes with it is very thin and both rod segments fit in next to each other which is not ideal long term. For the price I don't expect something that my $400 custom.loomis fly rod has included. Lol.
